Suez Processing since 1921

Pre-1990 period

The equipment was ICL, which was a central unit operating inside the computer room only. The applications were executed, the output was printed and handed over to the beneficiary departments, and there was no network at that time. The batch system was then run using the COBOL programming language.

In 1990

A network was created by large IBM machines and the use of terminal terminals. The System ONLINE system enabled every user to do his work without affecting the other. All members of the company can perform their work at the same time without affecting the Performance The operating system used is an IBM software VM / ESA and the software used is the Oracle databases and the COBOL programming language.

from 2000 To 2001

A new network was created. It consists of a server, a set of PCs, a number of linear printers and a laser printer that is connected by a set of switches. The speed of work and performance is stronger and higher.
Windows NT is used to manage the network through the server and Windows 98 on clients (PCS) and uses Oracle database software.

From 2004to 2005

Server has been developed to increase PCS to increase and speed up the workload and to accommodate the volume of data and new applications required of departments to join the network.
